"I echo the sentiments of Howard and John. Bill took me into the shop and showed me how to install the replacement part on my washer. I did the work myself and saved $125.00."

"Highly recommended Reasonably priced, great service, and very knowledgeable. We've used them twice and been extremely happy. They don't push extra parts or service to boost sales...they just fix what's broken. Or, if you're the "do it yourself" type, they are happy to share tips to make the project go faster. I went this route the last time my washing machine broke. They rented a spanner wrench for $1, sold a $4 part, and explained how to remove the inner drum. Sears wanted $125 to send a repairman out."

Race City Appliance, Inc is even mentioned in the book, "Visions" by Tim Harpman. He discusses the time he dropped by the Race City Appliance Shop looking for a good used washer and ended up with the parts and knowledge to fix the old machine instead.
